"God saw that the earth bringing forth grass was good"
The Star XII
The Star XII is found connecting the divine energy found in the sphere of Chockmah to the beauty and peace found within Tiphareth, thereby granting us our inner peace and tranquility. Along this path we are able to define this energy's relationship with our inner self, thereby establishing our divine wisdom and life-force. Today God is breathing life into our universe, allowing each of us to "catch our breath". The Star is definitely a card to embrace today with calming serenity, mental stability, and deep understanding. Within the Star card, one can also appreciate the past and thereby recognize that you have been through the card of The Tower XVI, which may have seemed rather tumultuous, so appreciate these new beginnings, recognize your inner strength, and source of strength and celebrate this wonderful day. Take heed of that which has passed and learn from it, then rediscover your sense of meaning and inspiration, that which is transforming in your life, and place your energy there in order to 'replenish' your surroundings. The lady in The Star card is facing toward the left, representing her past, and acknowledging all she has received. She pours the water from two containers, one in each hand. The left hand is representing that which is passive and feminine, and right hand is representing her active, masculine side. As water is the most essential element to life on Earth, the lady is "replenishing" her surroundings in order to continue the cycle of fertility.
The Star card is 17th of 22 Major Arcana Cards (Trumps). In numerology 17 would acquaint to 1 + 7 = 8, indicating strength as the underlying factor to be focused on. This theory is further explored when we look toward the stars in The Star card. There is one large star surrounded by the seven other. The significance of this is found within our Holy Scriptures, Revelations 1:4 "Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne." Once again, affirming our grace and peace within this day and defining the Source of our strength.
The ibis seen on the tree to the left (left being receptive) was highly recognized by Moses:
"Jealousy of Moses' excellent qualities induced Chenephres to send him with unskilled troops on a military expedition to Ethiopia, where he won great victories. After having built the city of Hermopolis, he taught the people the value of the ibis as a protection against the serpents, making the bird the sacred guardian spirit of the city; then he introduced circumcision.
